Established in 2022, Lean N Oak Farm has been focused on building a flock of sheep with great genetics for colorful "flashy" animals with the potential for rams to have massive horn growth. We work hard to produce healthy well socialized animals for our clients today and the years to come. This journey began with a two-fold purpose. First, we believe that life lessons are learned each day by our twelve-year-old daughter (Addy) as she helps with tending our sheep. Secondly, we really want to help introduce this great breed to more folks looking to experience a bit of homestead life even if only on a very small scale like us. Lastly, we are life members of the Painted Desert Sheep Society. We will tell you more about that fantastic group in another section.

At Lean N Oak Farm, we studied and did research on the painted desert sheep. We were fortunate to make some really great connections with several experienced reputable breeders through the internet and the Painted Desert Sheep Society. These individuals soon became great friends and mentors on our sheep journey. They were not only well educated on the breed but also had some fine flocks with great genetics that they allowed us "newbies" to purchase. All of our sheep have Gold Star Rams as sires or grand sires. With that said, we must give a big thank you to Montgomery Oaks' Tricia Montgomery and R&J's Joni Puckett. Much gratitude for the opportunity to buy Painted Desert Sheep lambs and their ongoing advice and support of our sheep journey.
